PLUNDERBUNNY

Myths/Legends Class

“Really great representations of assorted Greek myths”

Disney’s Hercules (1998)
We begin with a song. Enter Zeus and Hera, proud parents of little Hercules. King of the underworld, Hades, is none-too-thrilled with the birth of the little tyke. Cuteness ensues.

Hercules Unchained (1959, courtesy of MST3K)
Hercules drinks some kind of water that makes you lose your memory. He was then enchanted  by queen Omphale of Lydia, who told him he was her husband and the king of her land. A young Ulysses tries to remind Hercules who he really is. Hercules then tries to figure things out.

Hercules Against the Moon Men (1964, courtesy of MST3k)
Hercules has to defeat moon men. Other than that, I didn’t get it either.

Hercules (1983)
Super oiled Hercules, played by the Incredible Hulk, fights robot monsters and Romans with lazer swords.

Clash of the Titans (1981)
Perseus has been sent to defeat the evil Gorgon Medusa in classic stop-motion fashion.

Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief (2010)
The book series is supposedly better than the movie. I hope so, b/c the movie is pretty weak. But, there are several good scenes to enjoy in the context of representing myths in Hollywood today.
